Since Sunmin founded Law Offices of Sunmin Lee, A P.C., a boutique law firm in 2005, she has taken cases covering various areas of law - Immigration, Commercial, Civil, Labor, and Family law. Having confronted complex family issues and aggressive divorce proceedings that bring further suffering to families, Sunmin found her calling in minimizing the struggles of such families and their children, and began focusing on family law practices in 2019.

이선민 변호사는 1996년 이화여자대학교 법학과를 졸업하고

2000년 미국 보스톤 소재 서포크 대학을 졸업하여 2001년부터 2004년까지 매사츄세츠주 로웰에 위치한 Merrimack Valley Legal Services 소속 변호사로 저임금 가정폭력 피해 여성들의 변호와 저임금 노동자들의 세금 클리닉 운영을 담당했습니다.
이 후 캘리포니아주로 이주 2005년부터 개인 사무실을 운영하며, 이민법, 상법, 민사소송법, 노동법, 가정법 등 다양한 업무를 담당해 오던 중,

해결되지 않는 가정의 문제들과 그에 따른 지나치게 적대적인 이혼소송으로 고통을 겪는 가정과 그 자녀들을 돕는 일에 소명을 발견하고,

2019년 이후 업무분야를 가정법으로 전문화하여 현재 가정법 업무에 전력하고 있습니다.​

이선민 변호사는 캘리포니아에서 한국어에 능하며

가정법 전문 변호사 자격증을 가진 세 변호사중 한명입니다.
